Scale

Cookie Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (165g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Stuffing

  • 24 Oreo cookies (regular or preferred variety)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Start by creaming the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time to incorporate fully, then add the vanilla extract for flavor. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  2. Divide and shape the dough: Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for easier handling. Then, take a portion of dough about the size of a golf ball. Flatten it in your palm and place one whole Oreo cookie in the center. Carefully wrap the dough around the Oreo, sealing it fully and forming a smooth ball. Repeat this process for all remaining dough and Oreos.
  3. Bake to perfection: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the stuffed dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown but the centers remain soft. Remove from the oven and allow to cool briefly before enjoying the gooey, chewy treat inside.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before stuffing for easier handling and better texture.
  • Ensure the dough fully encloses each Oreo to prevent it from bursting during baking.
  • Use fresh Oreos so the cream stays soft and melty inside.
  • Watch the bake time closely to maintain a soft, chewy center rather than a dry cookie.
  • Try different Oreo flavors or sizes to offer variety.
