Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 8 oz thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Cheese

  • 6 oz provolone cheese, sliced or shredded

Dough & Topping

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 3 tbsp garlic butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the thinly sliced ribeye steak until browned but still tender. Remove the steak from the skillet. In the same pan, sauté the onions and bell peppers until soft and fragrant. Return the steak to the pan, season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, then mix well. Let the filling cool slightly before assembling.
  2. Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick. This rectangle will serve as both the base and top layer of the stuffed breadsticks.
  3. Assemble the Breadsticks: Spread the steak and vegetable mixture evenly over half of the rolled-out dough. Layer the provolone cheese generously on top of the filling. Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges firmly to seal the breadsticks and prevent leaks during baking.
  4. Cut and Shape: Carefully slice the sealed dough into breadstick-sized portions. Place each breadstick on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.
  5. Brush with Garlic Butter: Brush the tops of each breadstick generously with melted garlic butter to achieve a fragrant and golden crust.
  6. Bake to Perfection: Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until the breadsticks turn golden brown and the cheese inside is melted and gooey.

Notes

  • Choose quality fresh thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin for tender, juicy meat.
  • Do not overfill to avoid dough tearing or filling leaks.
  • Seal dough edges thoroughly by pinching or crimping.
  • Use room temperature dough for easier handling and better texture.
  • Allow filled dough to rest a few minutes before cutting to maintain shape and prevent spillage.
  • Bake on parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
