Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Mixture: Wash and hull fresh strawberries. Blend them until smooth, optionally adding 1-2 teaspoons of sweetener to enhance natural sweetness. This puree forms the fruity base for your latte.
  2. Whisk the Matcha: Place 1-2 teaspoons of matcha powder in a bowl or cup. Add 2-3 tablespoons of hot water (about 175°F or 80°C). Whisk vigorously with a bamboo or regular whisk until smooth and frothy, with no clumps.
  3. Heat and Froth the Milk: Warm your chosen milk over low heat, avoiding boiling. Froth the milk using a frother, French press, or by shaking vigorously in a sealed jar until foamy and light.
  4. Assemble the Latte: Pour the strawberry puree into your serving glass. Slowly add the matcha mixture on top, followed by the warmed milk to create a layered effect. Stir lightly if preferred for a blended flavor.
  5. Sweeten and Serve: Taste your latte and add extra sweetener if desired. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with a pinch of matcha powder or a fresh strawberry slice.
