Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat. Once fully cooked, drain any excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning and a splash of water, then simmer briefly to let flavors meld.
  2. Lay Out the Dough: On a large baking sheet, arrange the crescent roll dough triangles in a circular pattern with their pointed ends facing outward. Overlap the edges slightly to form a continuous ring.
  3. Add the Filling: Evenly spread the seasoned meat mixture over the center of the dough ring, keeping the outer dough edges clear for folding later.
  4. Sprinkle Cheese and Extras: Generously top the meat with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes or salsa, green onions, and any optional jalapeños or olives.
