Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: Fry the bacon slices in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels. Reserve the bacon fat in the skillet for cooking the chicken.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of ranch seasoning. Cook them in the reserved bacon fat over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove from the skillet and slice or cube the chicken.
  3. Boil the Pasta: Meanwhile, cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/4 cup of pasta water for the sauce if needed.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet used for bacon and chicken, sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion until fragrant and softened, about 2-3 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream, then stir in the remaining ranch seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a creamy consistency, about 3-5 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to adjust texture.
