Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Sauce

  • 23 chicken breasts (seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning)
  • 3 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Lasagna Components

  • 912 no-boil lasagna noodles (or pre-cooked regular noodles)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (optional)

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Add-ins (Variations)

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini (for veggie boost)
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños (for spicy kick)
  • Gluten-free lasagna noodles (to substitute regular noodles)
  • Thinly sliced zucchini or eggplant (as low-carb noodle substitutes)
  • Provolone or fontina cheese (alternative cheeses)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Place seasoned chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot and pour half of the Alfredo sauce over them. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours until chicken is fully cooked and can be shredded.
  2. Shred the Chicken: Carefully remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the remaining Alfredo sauce to combine thoroughly.
  3. Layer the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of the chicken and Alfredo mixture at the bottom of the crockpot. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, then spread more chicken Alfredo mixture on top, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous cheese topping to create a golden crust.
  4. Cook the Lasagna: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for an additional 2 hours, or until the noodles are soft and the cheese has melted beautifully. Avoid lifting the lid too often to retain steam and heat.
  5. Let It Rest and Serve: Once cooking is complete, turn off the crockpot and let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes. This allows the layers to set for easier serving.

Notes

  • Use no-boil noodles to save prep time and allow the slow cooker moisture to soften them perfectly.
  • Ensure even layering for consistent texture and flavor in each bite.
  • Stir the Alfredo sauce thoroughly into the shredded chicken before layering to infuse flavor through every bite.
  • Cook the lasagna low and slow to enhance richness and keep chicken tender.
  • Allow the lasagna to rest after cooking to help it firm up and improve flavor.
  • Leftovers keep well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Freeze the lasagna before or after cooking in freezer-safe containers for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in microwave or oven with a splash of milk or cream to maintain creaminess.
  • Customize by adding vegetables, spices, or different cheese types as desired.
