Instructions

  1. Prepare the noodles: Begin by boiling the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, tossing lightly with a little sesame oil so they don’t stick together while you cook the chicken and sauce.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then cook until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the pan and keep warm.
  3. Make the garlic sauce: In the same pan, lower the heat and add the minced garlic. Sauté just until fragrant, about 30 seconds, then stir in soy sauce, honey, and a splash of water. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened.
  4. Combine noodles and chicken: Return the cooked chicken to the pan, add the noodles, and toss everything together so the garlic sauce evenly coats every strand and piece. Cook for another 2 minutes on medium heat to allow the flavors to marry and the sauce become sticky.
  5. Finish and garnish: Turn off the heat and sprinkle sliced green onions and optional chili flakes over the noodles. Give a final gentle toss, then serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
